Marine Japanese STANDARD BRONZE PLUG VALVE is a BRONZE plug valve, designed for Marine piping system, in accordance with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). The following are its key features and uses:

Principle of operation

The plug valve rotates 90 degrees to make the plug and the valve body channel connected or closed to achieve fluid truncation or reversal. The sealing principle is based on the direct sealing of the metal contact surface, the structure is simple and the switch is quick, but the sealing is relatively weak, and it is mostly used for low pressure (≤1MPa) and small diameter (≤100mm) scenes. ‌

Material properties

Made of bronze (such as tin bronze or aluminum bronze), it has excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and is suitable for the humid salt spray environment of the ship. At the same time, the bronze material has low friction coefficient, which is suitable for frequent opening and closing scenes. ‌
