Tin bronze check valve is a type of one-way valve whose main body material is tin bronze (such as B62, H62, etc.). It controls the unidirectional flow of media through the up and down movement or rotation of the valve disc. It is widely used in pipeline systems for corrosive media such as water, steam, and oil products.

Its core function is to prevent the medium from flowing back, protecting pumps, compressors and other equipment from the impact of backflow.

Structure and Type

‌Suction and Discharge Type‌: The valve disc moves vertically along the axis of the valve body. It has excellent sealing performance and is suitable for small-diameter high-pressure scenarios (such as hydraulic systems). 

Swing-type: The valve disc rotates around an axis, resulting in low flow resistance and suitable for large-diameter pipelines (such as pipelines for transporting chemical raw materials) 

"U-shaped": Compact structure, often used in installation environments with limited space. 

Material characteristics

‌Tin bronze (B62/H62)‌: Resistant to corrosion, good machinability, lower cost than stainless steel, but slightly weaker in erosion resistance. 

Sealing components: Often paired with stainless steel or soft materials to enhance sealing performance and anti-sticking ability.

Application fields

I. Oil and Gas Pipeline System

‌High-pressure medium control‌: Applicable to high-pressure pipelines for natural gas, oil, etc., preventing backflow of the medium and ensuring the safe operation of the system. 

For example, the American standard nickel-aluminum bronze check valve (made of B62 material) can withstand a medium temperature of 100℃ and a working pressure difference of 100 MPa. 

Corrosion resistance performance: Tin bronze performs exceptionally well in sulfur-containing oil environments, which can significantly extend the service life of valves. 

II. Ship and Marine Engineering

‌Seawater Environment Application‌: Marine external thread bronze check valve (DN10-DN32mm) is specially designed for freshwater, seawater and non-corrosive oils, with a temperature range of -20℃ to 120℃ 

Key System Protection: Used for the main engine cooling system, ballast water system and fuel pipelines, to prevent seawater from flowing back. 

III. Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry

‌Hygiene Requirements‌: The external threaded check valve is made of 304/316 stainless steel, meeting the hygiene standards of industries such as beer, dairy products, and pharmaceuticals, preventing medium contamination 

Acid and alkali resistance characteristics: Suitable for components such as pump bodies and sealing rings, resistant to corrosive liquids 

IV. Industrial Fluid Control System

‌Waste Heat Recovery System‌: In the waste heat utilization technology, it is used in conjunction with heat pump units to ensure the unidirectional flow of high-temperature media. 

Combined Heat and Power: Used in low-pressure heat supply pipelines to prevent steam backflow and improve energy utilization efficiency.

Packing of Standard Packing: 

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum.
