The opening and closing part of the J41W cast steel flanged stop valve seals the valve disc with a flat or conical surface on the top. The valve stem operates the valve disc to move up and down along the centerline of the valve seat. The opening or closing stroke of the valve stem of the cast steel flanged stop valve is relatively short and it has a cut-off action, making it suitable for use as a medium cut-off or for regulation and throttling within a certain range. The cast steel flanged stop valve has a relatively large opening and closing torque and a long structural length. Generally, the nominal diameter of the stop valve is below 250mm, but when selecting, attention should be paid to the direction of the inlet and outlet. For cast steel flanged stop valves with a diameter of DN150 or less, the medium usually enters from below the valve disc, while for those with a diameter of DN200 or more, the medium generally enters from above the valve disc. This is due to the consideration of the closing torque of the valve. For stop valves with a diameter of DN200 or above, installing an internal bypass or external bypass valve can reduce the opening or closing torque.
The cast steel flanged stop valve adopts a forced sealing method. Therefore, pressure needs to be applied when the valve is closed to ensure that the sealing surface does not leak. With the emergence of self-sealing valves, cast steel flanged stop valves have changed the flow direction of the medium. Nowadays, the medium enters the valve cavity from above the valve disc. Under the action of fluid pressure, the force for closing the stop valve is relatively small, while the force for opening it is relatively large. The diameter of the valve stem can be correspondingly reduced in size. Meanwhile, this type of valve also has good sealing performance. Cast steel flanged stop valves are used in the automatic control systems of devices such as petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy and machinery.
Performance of cast steel flange stop valve
After the valve disc of the cast steel flanged stop valve is moved away from the closed position, there will be no contact between the valve seat and the sealing surface of the valve disc. The mechanical wear of the sealing surface is small, so its sealing performance is relatively good. The disadvantage is that particles in the flowing medium may be trapped between the sealing surfaces. The valve disc can be made of ceramic as needed, which can solve the problem of wear resistance. Due to the small stroke between the opening and closing of the stop valve disc and the fact that the sealing surface can withstand multiple openings and closures, it is very suitable for occasions that require frequent opening and closing.
The principle of cast steel flanged stop valve
A cast steel flanged stop valve refers to a valve in which the disc moves along the centerline of the valve seat. Because the opening or closing stroke of the valve stem of the cast steel flanged stop valve is relatively short and it has a better cut-off function. In addition, the variation of the valve seat opening is proportional to the travel of the valve disc, making it suitable for shut-off and regulation and throttling within a certain range. Cast steel flanged stop valves can be applied to different pipeline fluid systems.
