The 2205 double-phase steel flanged gate valve seals by the contact between the valve seat and the gate plate. It can be fully opened or fully closed and cannot be used for regulation or throttling. The movement direction of the gate plate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid. The gate moves in a straight line along with the valve stem. There are trapezoidal threads on the lifting stem. Through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body, the rotational motion is transformed into linear motion.

2205 duplex steel is a ferritic-austenitic duplex stainless steel. It combines the beneficial properties of both ferritic and austenitic structures, with high chromium and molybdenum content. Therefore, it has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and uniform corrosion, as well as a high resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Moreover, it has a high mechanical strength.
