Vacuum butterfly valves usually adopt a short structure design. The valve plate and the valve stem are coaxially connected. The overall volume is small, and the occupied space is only 1/3 to 1/2 of that of traditional gate valves or ball valves. This design not only saves pipe installation space, but also makes it convenient to use ‌ in narrow working conditions or dense equipment layouts

The three-eccentric structure (with additional angular eccentricity) further enables frictionless opening and closing of the valve plate and valve seat, and the squeezing force generated by the eccentricity when the sealing surface is closed can form a hard metal seal or an elastic seal ‌
