### **Alloy PE16 / Nimonic® PE16** **Precipitation-Hardenable Nickel-Iron-Chromium Superalloy for High-Temperature Applications
** #### **1. Overview**
**Alloy PE16**, commercially known as **Nimonic® PE16**, is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-iron-chromium superalloy strengthened by γ' (gamma prime) precipitation. This alloy is characterized by its excellent combination of high-temperature strength, good corrosion resistance, and outstanding fabricability. Unlike many nickel-based superalloys, PE16 contains a significant amount of iron, making it more cost-effective while maintaining good mechanical properties up to 700°C (1292°F). It is particularly valued for its good weldability and formability. #### **2. Chemical Composition (Weight %)** The typical chemical composition of Nimonic PE16 is outlined below.
