Overview**   Alloy 400 (UNS N04400), commonly known as Monel 400, is a nickel-copper alloy renowned for its excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, including seawater, acids, and alkalis.  **9. Fabrication Notes**   


- **Welding**: Suitable for TIG, MIG, and SMAW processes (use Monel 60 or ERNiCu-7 filler)   

- **Machining**: Use slow speeds, high feed rates, and positive rake angles   

- **Annealing**: 870-980°C (1600-1800°F) followed by rapid cooling

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 1627 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
