        ### **Product Datasheet: Magnesium ZK60A-T5, Extruded (UNS M16600)**
**Ultra-High-Strength Extruded Magnesium Alloy**
---
#### **1. Overview**
Magnesium ZK60A-T5 (UNS M16600) is an ultra-high-strength extruded magnesium alloy that represents the pinnacle of the magnesium-zinc-zirconium alloy system. Through optimized zinc content and zirconium grain refinement, combined with T5 artificial aging treatment, this alloy achieves the highest strength levels available in commercial magnesium wrought products. The extrusion process produces uniform, fine-grained microstructures ideal for critical structural applications where maximum strength-to-weight ratio is essential.

#### **3. Chemical Composition (Weight %)**
| Element | Magnesium (Balance) | Zinc | Zirconium | Manganese (max) | Silicon (max) | Other Elements (max) |
|---------------|---------------------|--------------|--------------|-----------------|---------------|---------------------|
| **Content (%)** | - | 4.8-6.2 | 0.45-1.0 | 0.15 | 0.10 | 0.30 total |
*Note: The high zinc content (typically 5.5% nominal) provides maximum solid solution strengthening, while zirconium ensures exceptional grain refinement, creating the foundation for ultra-high strength properties after T5 aging.*
