Property description: The properties of lithium niobate (12031-63-9):
Lithium niobate crystals are abbreviated as LN. They belong to the triclinic crystal system and have a titanium-iron ore type (distorted perovskite type) structure. Lithium niobate is an electrostrictive crystal with a Curie point of 1210°C and a spontaneous polarization strength of 50×10-6 C/cm2". The lithium niobate crystals after distortion treatment have multiple performance materials such as piezoelectricity, ferroelectricity, photoelectricity, nonlinear optics, thermoelectricity, etc., and also have the photorefractive effect.

Product Application: The uses of lithium niobate (12031-63-9):
This product is used in microwave technology for Q-switching, photoelectric modulation, frequency doubling, optical parametric oscillation; LN crystals with a certain amount of iron and other metal impurities can be used as holographic recording medium materials. It is also used in phase modulators, phase grating modulators, large-scale integrated optical systems. It is also widely used in infrared detectors, high-frequency wide-band filter, etc.
Production Method and Others: Preparation method of lithium niobate (12031-63-9):
Pulling method: Prepare lithium niobate using lithium carbonate and titanium pentoxide as raw materials: Put lithium carbonate and titanium pentoxide into a platinum crucible and grow the crystal along the (001) direction. To obtain high-quality colorless transparent cylinders, it is necessary to slightly increase the temperature of the two end faces of the crystal during growth to be slightly higher than the Curie temperature, then add an appropriate-sized electric field to form the crystal. After the crystal is formed, cool it to room temperature and then obtain the lithium niobate crystal.
Hazardousness:
This product is usually slightly harmful to water bodies. Do not allow undiluted or large amounts of the product to come into contact with groundwater, waterways, or sewage systems. Do not discharge the material into the surrounding environment without government permission.
