### **Product Datasheet: 2219-T42 Aluminum Alloy**

#### **1. Overview**
2219-T42 Aluminum Alloy is a high-strength aluminum-copper alloy supplied in the T42 temper (solution heat-treated and naturally aged). This temper condition provides a good combination of moderate strength, excellent weldability, and natural aging characteristics. The T42 temper is particularly suitable for welded structures where the welding process effectively re-solution treats the material in the heat-affected zone, allowing subsequent natural aging to restore properties throughout the welded assembly.
